The plastic support that holds the bottom glass shelf just cracked too. This was too expensive of a unit to have fallen apart within 8 months! STRONGLY DISCOURAGE PURCHASING THIS REFRIGERATOR!!!!

The lighting is better than most refrigerators. No shadow.

Lots of Interior Space! Gallons of milk fit easily in the door compartments. Several drawers for storage. One of them is designed for meats and has its own temperature adjustment. The drawers all glide out smoothly. The instruction manual mentions a can holder for soft drinks, but we don’t have that. It’s a separate part, perhaps ours was missing.

The freezer compartment has a special pizza rack where pizzas can be stood up on their sides next to the ice maker….a nice touch. There are also tilt-out door compartments on the freezer side and a special shelf in front of the ice maker that can hold a box of ice cream, or something you need to freeze fast. Freezer baskets extend fully.

Conclusion:

This is a great refrigerator. It looks nice, functions well, it’s energy efficient and super quiet and it holds a ton. I know it’s a lot of money…but if you want a nice fridge and the little things are important to you, you can’t go wrong.

Advantages:

It has a beautiful sleek appearance and does fit flush with our cabinets (24″ counter depth.) It has “Supercool” and “Superfreeze” options to quickly cool new items; this feature is handy for warm soft drinks and soft ice cream.

The Bosch Refrigerator is Energy Star qualified. It has an endearing little beep indicating the door is ajar. It also has Vacation Mode and Economy Mode which I have never used.

The temperature controlled refrigerator drawer allows you to maintain a user-adjustable temperature independent of the rest of the interior. It has three settings depending on the type of food being stored. I really never use this feature, it’s at the very bottom of the refrigerator and I find it inconvenient.

A control panel on the front of the freezer door shows when the “Superfreeze” and “Supercool” features are in use, it displays the temperature of both the freezer and refrigerator and both are adjustable from this control panel, it shows when the filter needs to be changed and it has a child lock button.

Disadvantages:

The ice maker is HORRIBLE. It has a small storage bin and WILL NOT make enough ice to fill four (4) – 12 oz. glasses in a 24 hour period. Manual says it make 100 ice cubes within a 24 hour period. It does not do that. In fact, the ice cubes are small and only size of 1/2 inch in diameter. A 12oz. glass holds about 30 cubes. You do the math. Forget guest coming over. Ice trays will make more ice IF they would fit in the freezer. It has an icemaker lock button lock for some unknown reason. I cannot wait until 90 degree days. Should not even call it an icemaker.

Conclusion:

I do not recommend this product.
